3D Metals Business Development and GTM Lead Full Time

The 3D Metals business is part of the fastest growing segment of the 3D printing market within our Personalization and 3D business.

To support the next phase of our growth, and to advance the industry of metals mass production, we are recruiting for a Director of Business Development and GTM

Location can be flexible based on customer proximity


  • The Business Development and GTM leader will be responsible to build and manage a highly complex global sales force for the 3D Metal Jet organization as well as leading the development of key strategic metals accounts to scale the business and transform the market. Position typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, and Senior Leaders of internal and external suppliers, partners, and customers.

  • Drives large and complex cross-organizational business initiatives.

  • Accountable for business growth, increase HP market share and revenue

  • Coordinates all HP sales activities in the area-of-control.

  • Sets quota and goals for organizations.

  • Develops tactics to generate new sales.

  • Provides input to team on overall sales strategy, cost optimization, and disciplined process management (pipeline review, asset management, demo sales achievement, etc.).

  • Ensures optimum sales coverage through direct and partner sales resources and different routes to markets.

  • Develops sales resources and management talent to ensure a pipeline of qualified sales talent to support future growth. Implementation of master pipeline management.

  • Builds lasting, consultative relationships with customer accounts.

  • Coach and support sales teams and leadership in developing key and/or difficult account opportunities

  • Builds long-term growth opportunities using the Account Business Planning process.

  • Develops the consultative, solution selling capability in their organization to develop compelling business cases to differentiate and highlight the value of HP's broad portfolio.

  • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of the vertical segment and provides external leadership to industry, community, press.

  • Demonstrates thought leadership by directing the customer's application of technology to new business problems..

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or Bachelor's degree, advanced university or Master's degree preferred.

  • 5-10 years of sales and progressive management experience.

  • 10-15 years of industry experience.

  • Demonstrated results in growing a business or expanding a market.

  • Prior experience working in Industrial Sales with a minimum of 5 years in the metals industry. Highly desired progressive leadership experience in the 3D Industry.

  • Strategic partner management and industrial business development experience

  • Deep experience leading sales including strategic pricing, P&L management, and greater use of digital tools to derive insights

  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, R&D/ Product Development, and functional partners

  • Global or Regional Sales Management experience, including defining ownership of commercial activities in a large matrixed environment

  • Prior experience in managing and negotiating C-level deals & partner relationships

  • Influencing Senior Leadership and Board of Director decisions
