Eurofighter PSTS Full Time

Job Description:

The job position is in the scope of the Eurofighter?s PSTS (Pilot Synthetic Training System), which will train the pilots of one of the world's most advanced fighter jets. This simulator will include latest improvements that have been enhancing the capabilities of one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world.

The PSTS Joint Team (JT) is an integrated effort of partners fostering deep collaboration on engineering elements in the scope of Eurofighter Simulation project. The team is located in Manching (Germany) so the candidate shall reside there. The system engineering activities contribute to ensure the delivery of an integrated, functional and stable PSTS system.


To deliver integrated PSTS baselines in line with the agreed integration sequence.

To ensure that each baseline provides the PSTS functionality that was targeted in the integration strategy.

To provide SW configuration services and to provide PSTS system releases to the customer.


Deal with the customer:

  • Quick reaction to answer the comments coming from the customers.

  • Design impact analysis and documentation of extra requirements that appear in the integration phase.

  • Dealing with the customer and customer representatives. This includes workshops and milestone meetings

Requirements management:

  • Doors 9.6: creation of modules, update of the traceability matrix, generation and maintenance of the partners companies? documentation based on the received updates.

  • Design Documents: impact of changes in the documents of the partner companies in the technical specification.

Partner companies:

  • Dealing with different partner companies: deadlines, missing information, design problems.

  • Coordination for the definition of common interfaces.

  • Coordination with and for the partners for the design issues. Detailed refinement of the requirements to comply with milestones.

  • Review the documentation verifying that it meets the requirements, and includes all the information defined in Jira and the technical specification.

Jira management:

  • Tasks management.

  • Change requests creation based on analysis and current integration tests.

  • Analysis of the Change Request proposed.

Systems Design:

  • Adaptation of the design to the new training baselines, adapting the documents and checking the incompatibilities between the different subsystems, where appropriate.

  • IT security requirements impact on design.

  • Resolve design issues not considered, adapting documents and checking incompatibilities between the different subsystems, if any, for new specific implementation for P2Eb.


  • More than 5 years, Eurofighter or related, experience in ASTA/PSTS would be a plus.

  • Experience in a technical leadership role would be a plus.

  • Experience writing requirements and acceptance of complex Training Systems

-Strong integrity and ability to manage sensitive information in complex environment and in a multi- stakeholder setup. The customer focus value is a must for the candidate.

  • Willingness to re-locate to Manching for at least one year and a half (Germany).

  • Tools: MS Office, DOORs, JIRA.

  • Fluent spoken and written English. German would be a plus but it is not required.
