SurveyEngine is a global research agency providing data, technology and exceptional management for preference research projects to global clients in the Pharmaceutical, Academic, Transport and Energy sectors.

You’ll work in a growing company for international clients within Europe, the US, Australia and Japan. Your sales skills will help push forward the use of innovative methods in academic and commercial research. You will be engaging and presenting to high value prospects to build rapport, educate and ultimately close sales deals of between 10K and 1M Euros.

All your projects will be global, and the role will be English-speaking.

About the Role

Are you a proactive, resilient, attentive and engaging sales professional? We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new clients requiring market research and making a significant impact on transforming decision-making processes. You will identify new sales opportunities, engage potential clients through calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings , assess their needs and ensure follow up to win business. You will also maintain strong relationships with your existing clients and manage incoming requests for quotes, negotiate terms using strong interpersonal and persuasion skills to close deals, and work with the production team to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development: Promote and sell our products and services.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with customers.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively pursue leads, assess customer needs, and provide tailored solutions to maximize benefits.
  • Product Education & Demonstration: Educate customers on our offerings, demonstrating the value and impact of our products.
  • Sales Targets: Strive to meet and exceed sales targets set by the company.
  • Diligence: Follow up on all leads in a timely manner and track progress with detailed information on CRM system.
  • Market Intelligence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Complexity: Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and work in an environment of change.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in roles such as sales, business development, or account management ideally within the market research, healthcare or similar industry.
  • Market Research Knowledge: Ideally you have experience in selling market research products and services, such as health preference & consumer behavior (preferred).
  • CRM: Knowledge of HubSpot (preferred).
  • Educational Background: Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, psychology, alternately relevant commercial experience
  • Language Skills: The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English is mandatory.
  • Travel: 20% travel expected.
  • Other requirements: hands on and proactive attitude, highly motivated, ability to manage all administrative tasks in a timely manner, ability to work with a team as well as independently in fast-paced environment.
