Synopsys

Madrid

We Are Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are You have spent over a decade building software that powers the semiconductor industry, and you know the difference between a solver that works in a demo and one that holds up under production load with millions of transistors and real customer deadlines. Architecture decisions you made years ago are still running in products today, and you have learned to think three releases ahead without losing sight of what needs to ship next quarter. You are comfortable being the technical authority in the room, whether that room is full of kernel developers, application engineers trying to unblock a customer, or product managers debating roadmap tradeoffs. You do not need a perfect spec to get started. You ask the right questions, align stakeholders across geographies, and build consensus around a technical direction that actually works. Mentorship matters to you. You have seen engineers grow under your guidance, and you know that the best way to scale your impact is to make the people around you better. At Synopsys, you will work on simulation tools that define how chips get designed, and the technical decisions you make will ripple across the industry. What You'll Be Doing Leads the planning, architecture or research across multiple projects or disciplines Coordinates product design and development activities requiring extensive analysis in areas such as user experience, software design and solver research. Acts as a technical reference across groups or products Defines, develops, and employs best practices and maintains them through technical reviews and mentoring Performs highly complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support across multiple products. Coordinates the QA or product support teams on problems discovered and develops solutions Researches and understands the marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. Works with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions Operates without direct supervision and functions as a high-level team leader, project manager, or software architect May be responsible for line management of a small technical team but primary duties are of an individual technical nature The Impact You Will Have Your architectural decisions will shape the performance, scalability, and reliability of simulation software used by companies worldwide The frameworks and methods you define will become the foundation for how multiple engineering teams build, test, and ship software Engineers you mentor will carry forward the technical rigor and problem-solving approach you model, multiplying your impact across the organization Customer problems that have been blocking critical designs will get solved because you bridged the gap between what they need and what the product can deliver Release quality will improve because you caught the hard problems early, coordinated across teams, and drove solutions that hold up under real-world conditions The technical roadmaps you build will align business strategy with engineering reality, ensuring the right capabilities ship at the right time What You'll Need BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12 years of experience, MS with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years in software development for commercial products Deep hands-on experience with software design, development methodologies, and delivering production-quality code in complex systems Proven track record leading technical efforts that resulted in shipped features, new capabilities, or measurable improvements in large-scale software products Demonstrated ability to operate as a technical authority across teams, driving alignment and execution on ambiguous or multi-disciplinary problems Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus: numerical analysis, optimization algorithms, AI or machine learning, cloud-native architectures, or high-performance computing Ability to translate business and customer requirements into technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and actionable engineering plans Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar within a team or organization Who You Are You can walk into a room where a critical customer issue is being debated and within 20 minutes identify the root cause, propose two viable solutions, and get everyone aligned on next steps You write design documents that engineers actually read because they are clear, opinionated, and grounded in tradeoffs that matter When a junior engineer brings you a gnarly bug, you do not just fix it, you use it as a teaching moment and leave them better equipped to solve the next one You push back when a roadmap does not make technical sense, and you do it in a way that builds trust rather than friction You are comfortable presenting technical work to a VP, a customer architect, or a room full of PhD researchers, and you adjust your message without losing the substance You have learned that the best technical leaders are the ones who make everyone around them more effective, not the ones who hoard the hardest problems The Team You'll Be Part Of Your recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process. Rewards and Benefits We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process. #AnsysJob

Asset creation, product and hardware configuration, serial-number mapping, install-location maintenance, and support-record setup are managed by the relevant upstream Asset Management and Support functions. Validate booked orders, products, contract terms, customer entitlements, support eligibility, and licensing prerequisites before software fulfillment. Manage software license generation, delivery, activation, entitlement updates, and license-related customer communication. Confirm that the required asset, configuration, serial-number mapping, install-location, contract, and support information is available before licensing execution. Partner with Asset Management and Support teams to resolve upstream data or configuration gaps that prevent accurate licensing. Manage license-related changes resulting from expansions, upgrades, migrations, transfers, renewals, replacements, RMAs, and decommissioning. Maintain accurate and reliable software licensing and entitlement records across applicable enterprise and licensing systems. Develop and maintain licensing procedures, controls, knowledge articles, dashboards, and operational reporting. Identify recurring process gaps and drive improvements that reduce manual work, licensing errors, turnaround time, and customer escalations. Partner with Salesforce, CPQ, ERP, Revenue Cloud, licensing-platform, and workflow teams to automate licensing and entitlement processes. Support new product introductions and help define future licensing processes for subscription, SaaS, cloud, consumption-based, and hybrid hardware-software offerings. Provide support across regions when needed, including flexibility to work across time zones for critical business needs. Success Measures Deliver accurate software licenses and entitlements within agreed service levels. Improve the transition from order booking to software activation and customer use. Reduce licensing defects, manual follow-up, processing delays, and customer escalations. Maintain high-quality software licensing and entitlement data. Provide clear visibility into licensing volumes, backlog, aging, exceptions, and operational performance. Establish effective handoffs with Asset Management, Support, Order Management, Engineering, and other partner teams. Standardize processes that currently depend on manual coordination or individual knowledge. Implement automation and process improvements that increase scale, accuracy, and customer experience. Help develop a future-ready licensing operating model supporting DDN’s growing software portfolio. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered. 2 - 5 years of experience in software licensing, entitlement management, software fulfillment, software customer enablement, order management, technical operations, support operations, or a related enterprise technology function. Experience supporting enterprise software, on-premises, subscription, SaaS, hybrid, or cloud-based offerings. Experience with Salesforce, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday, licensing or entitlement platforms, and workflow or case-management tools. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where trust and impact matter, you'll feel at home here. We are looking for an outstanding Staff Customer Engineer (CE) to join the Customer Engineering team in an amazing tech scaleup based in Madrid. As the most senior member in our Customer Engineering organization, you will provide white-glove, deeply technical, and highly strategic support to Aircall's most valuable strategic and enterprise customers, driving value from your very first day. This role brings together advanced technical capability, consultative depth and commercial impact. Staff CEs work closely with CTOs, Heads of CX, Heads of Digital and operational leaders inside customer organizations. They ensure complex deployments, integrations and AI adoption programs are executed successfully and become drivers of long-term retention and growth. Operating at the nexus of Customer Success and Product, Staff CEs pair directly with our Key Account Managers to ensure complex deployments, integrations, and AI adoption programs become drivers of long-term retention and growth. As a model of technical judgment, strategic partnership, and customer excellence, you will raise technical standards throughout the CE organization. You are expected to be hands-on, build executive credibility, and successfully navigate high-stakes customer environments. Key Responsibilities: High-Touch, Complex Onboarding: Own onboarding for large, high-complexity customers (250+ employees, 100+ users). Lead deep discovery, map business processes, design advanced workflows and integrations, and drive technical implementation to a smooth, timely, high-quality go-live. Senior Technical Partner to KAMs: Act as the day-to-day technical counterpart to Key Account Managers, working 1:1 or 1:2 to deliver a unified commercial and technical approach across technical strategy, risk assessment, renewal readiness, integration roadmaps, and adoption plans. Proactive Renewal Support and Technical Reviews: Run quarterly and mid-cycle technical reviews for strategic accounts (covering renewal readiness, ROI articulation, workflow optimization, and integration stability), and help KAMs surface expansion and retention opportunities backed by technical outcomes. Add-On Activation and AI Deployment: Deploy and optimize advanced AI add-ons like AI Assist Pro and AI Voice/Messaging Agent optimization (following FDE-led engagements), building customer-specific AI adoption playbooks and becoming a regional expert in AI-enabled workflows. Complex Implementations and Solution Architecture: Serve as the technical architect and owner for advanced configurations, challenging integrations, and custom workflow builds, coordinating closely with Engineering, Product, and internal technical experts to deliver bespoke solutions when needed. Proactive Monitoring and Advanced Troubleshooting: Review product telemetry, integration performance, and usage patterns to anticipate issues before they surface, and lead root-cause analysis on the most complex product or integration issues that fall outside standard CE motions. Escalation Management for Strategic Accounts: Coordinate high-impact escalations end-to-end, driving internal alignment, providing technical direction, leading communication, and maintaining executive trust through to clear resolution. Product Feedback and Technical Leadership: Identify recurring technical themes and capability gaps from strategic accounts to inform the product roadmap, mentor CEs and Scaled CEs, and elevate the technical craft across the organization through example rather than people management. Qualifications: Deep Technical Expertise: Strong command of VoIP fundamentals, APIs, integrations, webhooks, data flows, authentication models, cloud architectures, and customer tech stacks, with the ability to read and interpret code (JavaScript, Python, or similar). Solution Architecture and Systems Thinking: Comfortable designing complex technical solutions, mapping workflows, orchestrating multi-system integrations, and guiding the long-term technical evolution of customer environments. Executive Communication: Able to speak confidently with CTOs, CIOs, Heads of CX, and Operations leaders, translating technical strategy into clear business terms. Prioritization and Workload Management: Sound judgment for triaging a large portfolio where touching every account every quarter is not realistic. Able to prioritize time and effort against north star metrics, focusing energy on the accounts and actions that move the needle most. Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder, multi-phase technical projects with predictable delivery and clear communication. Commercial Awareness: Clear understanding of how technical decisions affect renewal, GRR, NRR, and expansion, with the ability to influence commercial strategy through technical insight. Ownership and Accountability: A strong sense of ownership over your portfolio and its outcomes, taking personal accountability for retention, churn mitigation, and contraction / GRR performance across your strategic accounts. Calm Under Pressure: Maintains confidence and clarity during escalations, high-stakes conversations, and strategic customer interactions. Cross-Functional Influence: Effective collaborator with Engineering, Product, Support, KAMs, and FDEs, able to translate customer needs into structured internal actions. Languages: Professional proficiency in Spanish and English is required. Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Technical Account Management in SaaS. Strong background in complex implementations, technical onboarding, and solution deployment for mid-market or enterprise customers.
