Viking is looking for an analytical person who is passionate about streamlining cost control and finance processes and driving operational efficiency. Cost Control Specialist will review and improve Viking Travel Care’s current and take lead in developing future cost control and invoicing processes, including steps like case closing, cost control, case corrections, payment, invoice handling, invoicing, reporting and follow up. The person also will take the responsibility for the daily management of these processes.
The position might include data analysis tasks related to cost control and invoicing, for candidates with relevant background. For the right candidate, the position might also develop into a manager role with personnel responsibility for cost control staff.
Responsibilities
- Review, document, take responsibility in, and execute cost control and invoicing in Viking Travel Care.
- Suggest improvements and take part in in developing and implementing improvements in cost control and invoicing processes.
- Document and design standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps and workflow diagrams for cost control, invoicing, and finance.
- Lead process improvement projects, coordinate with stakeholder and project teams to ensure successful implementation
- Perform training and support in the areas of responsibility.
- Be the “go to” person for all related to the cost control, invoicing, accounting and reporting service areas for Viking Travel Care, both for cost control workers, operations, finance department, management and other departments in Viking Group.
- Support Operations Manager, Director of Travel Care or other managers with other administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Higher relevant education.
- +3 years’ experience in the area of economy and finance, cost control, accounting, invoicing or related fields, preferably with expertise in process improvement.
- Fluent English written and spoken with great communication skills. Knowledge in Nordic languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Independent and self-driven.
- Experienced user of digital tools and IT systems.
- Data analytics background is a plus.
- Personnel management experience is a merit, but not a requirement.
